In a comprehensive project for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC), Louisville Paving Company took on the challenge of demolishing and replacing 13 bridges of various spans. The scope of work was substantial, involving the pouring of over 2,800 cubic yards of concrete and the placement of 350,000 pounds of rebar. To ensure structural integrity, the team also set an impressive 4,650 linear feet of concrete bridge beams.
What made this endeavor particularly complex was the diverse locations of the 13 bridges. The project required Louisville Paving Company to establish new relationships with inspectors and suppliers who were not previously within their network. Despite these logistical challenges, the team successfully delivered on the project, contributing to enhanced infrastructure and connectivity across the state.
