For this $5,750,000 project, Louisville Paving and Construction subsidiary, Pace, completed 60 different specifications; responsible for the BC-09 (General Trades) scope of work. A few of the big ticket items include the entire site concrete work and decorative pavers to carpentry blocking throughout every classroom and throughout the building.

Additionally, our Pace crews installed a Rainwater Harvesting tank and pump filtration system to recycle the rain water for the irrigation system. We had to spray Fluid Applied Air Barrier on the exterior of the whole building, and we installed 3" of Thermal Insulation on the interior walls throughout the building to make it Air Tight. We proceeded to fireproof all the MEP floor penetrations, wall penetrations, and metal ceiling deck in the Penthouse. As part of the fireproofing, we used UL (Underwriters Laboratories) systems to firestop all 2 hr fire-rated areas.

Other items we provided include: all the Decorative Glass Railings (like the ones at the Yum Center), 50 different size Projection Screens, Motorized Roller Shades, Glass Marker Boards, U of L Logos, Epoxy Flooring, Wood Flooring, Interior Architectural Woodwork, setting all doors and Security Hardware as well as Aluminum Composite Metal Panels in the Atrium. We fulfilled each aspect of this project in early August 2018, where Pace crews worked extra hours just to stay ahead of schedule — and come in under budget. We are proud of the finished outcome!
